Why Plan Ahead

Planning for your own interment, funeral and memorial can provide peace of mind, knowing your loved ones will not have the burden in their time of loss, and that your wishes will be carried out. There are three main reasons why people preplan: alleviating the burden for their family, having the funeral they want, and saving money by freezing today’s prices and benefiting from flexible payment terms. Pre-planning allows surviving family members to focus on grieving and remembrance when the death occurs and the purchase of a family lot is a gift to future generations, providing burial space for those who are yet to be born.

Cemetery Services

Pinecrest Remembrance Services provides cemetery services to the Greater Ottawa community at its two cemetery locations. The Pinecrest Cemetery, centrally located at the Greenbank Rd. & Baseline Rd., and in the west end at its Highland Park Cemetery located on McGee Side Rd. just minutes from Scotiabank Place off of Carp Rd. Each of these beautiful locations is unique in its own way but both provide a range of options for providing a final resting place for your loved one.

Casket Burial

The 60 acres of the Historic Pinecrest Cemetery contain a number of locations, each different in character and design, that provides space for the burial of caskets. Graves may be purchased individually or as family lots.

Most of the graves and lots at Pinecrest Cemetery allow for the placement of an upright granite memorial or flat marker. The tranquil park like setting of Highland Park Cemetery also provides several areas where single gravesites are available at very affordable prices. If a family lot is required to provide for multiple casket burial please discuss your needs with the cemetery family counselor.

Cremation

Urns containing cremated remains may be interred in any lot or grave available for casket burials. In addition, a number of locations are available in our cemeteries which provide for the burial of cremated remains in areas designed specifically for this purpose.

Cremation niches are available in our new Mausoleum of Peace & Tranquility (just opened in the spring of 2012) as well as our Mausoleum of Remembrance as well as Mausoleum 3B.

Several Columbariums are also spread out throughout the cemetery, each offering different settings and structure.

Columbarium Options

Columbarium niches provide space for the above ground entombment of cremation urns and are available in outdoor and indoor locations at our two cemeteries. The Mausoleum 3B provides both marble and glass front niches in a luxurious, secure, climate controlled environment. Our new Mausoleum of Peace & Tranquility offers marble niches in a luxurious, secure, climate controlled environment.
