Interment Rights may only be transferred or privately resold if they are fully paid and totally unused. The Cemetery will only recognize a new Rights Holder once all required transfer documentation has been completed and approved by the Cemetery. Original Interment Rights Certificates must be returned before a transfer can be completed. Partial subdivision or transfer of a portion of Interment Rights is not permitted. Applicable transfer fees apply. Please contact the Cemetery office for current fees and requirements.

Certain cemetery services may only be performed by Pinecrest Remembrance Services Ltd. staff or authorized personnel in accordance with Cemetery By-Laws. Foundation fabrication and marker setting are completed exclusively by the Cemetery. Opening and closing of graves, crypts, and niches may only be completed by Cemetery staff. Memorials, markers, inscriptions, and installations are subject to Cemetery By-Laws and approval requirements. Certain cemetery sections may restrict monument styles, marker types, flowerbeds, outer containers, or memorialization options.

Purchasers are responsible for payment in accordance with contract terms and compliance with Cemetery By-Laws. Interments, memorial installations, and transfers may not proceed until applicable charges have been paid in full. The Cemetery is responsible for maintaining the grounds in accordance with the Care and Maintenance Fund requirements under the Funeral, Burial and Cremation Services Act, 2002. Refunds, cancellations, transfers, and services are governed by the Cemetery contract and Cemetery By-Laws.

Pinecrest Cemetery & Crematorium, Highland Park Cemetery, and Merivale Public Cemetery operate under the Funeral, Burial and Cremation Services Act, 2002 and Ontario Regulation 30/11.
