Posts to the tribute of Kenneth Matheson

My condolences to Kenneth's family. He sounded like a wonderful man. My name is Malcolm MacPhail. My grandmother was Helen Robertson Matheson. She was Kenneth's aunt. She married Duncan MacPhail and had one son, Donald Ross MacPhail (my father). Helen was the daughter of Murdo Matheson and his wife Janet (maiden name Robertson). She had a sister whose nickname was Kuge who lived in Montreal. She had another sister who died during the Spanish flu epidemic. I know that the family had a summer residence in St. Jerome. I recently visited Murdo Matheson's grave on Mont-Royal and have attached a picture. In the touching tribute to Kenneth, it mentioned that he had an interest in his family's history. Linda and Family, My condolences to all of you on Ken’s passing. I knew Ken from our days working in Business Systems at BNR where he treated everyone with respect, was always willing to help co-workers and had a great sense of humour. I believe we both worked with the weather service, but at different times. We also enjoyed swapping Pictou stories, since I was from Pictou and knew both Ian and Bruce. Take care. Ron Haley
