Dear Odette and Family, Roger was a devoted member of the Ottawa City Hall family. He understood that being a civil servant meant putting the citizens of Ottawa first...that it is an honourable profession. He took pride in his many accomplishments. Aside from being the perfect professional, he was a really nice guy....part of a team. He will be missed by all who worked with him but most particularly, you and your family. Dear Odette, Christine Byrne from Osgoode. Very sorry to hear that Mr Pepper passed away. I booked several cruises at Greenbank Square, Mr Pepper would stop at the travel agency and we would have a lovely chat. I’ll never forget his jolly smile and laughter. Odette and boys - Sam and I were truly saddened to learn of Roger’s passing. My years as Mayor were brightened working with Roger and as we liked to say’ he was one of the good ones’ . A fine man, great citizen and fun to be around. My friend led a full life, always with a smile and he sure loved you. God Bless Jim and‘Sam’ Durrell
