Obituary of Eric Livermore, P.Eng

Ottawa – Frederick (Eric) Caldwell Livermore, age 84, of Stittsville, passed away peacefully on December 25th

 

Eric was born on December 26th, 1940, in Jellicoe, Ontario, to the late Clarence and Blanche Livermore. 

 

A distinguished engineer and prolific inventor, he held many patents that advanced technology and benefited countless lives. Guided by sharp intellect, unwavering integrity, and strong moral principles, he earned deep respect from colleagues and his community.

 

Eric loved the outdoors, finding peace in fishing, tending his beehives, and pursuing nature’s simple joys. A devoted and generous family man, he leaves a lasting legacy of kindness, ethical strength, and profound love for his wife, children, grandchildren, and all who knew him. 

 

Eric is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Carol; children Stacy, Steve and Jessica (John Gubbels); grandchildren Erika (Peter Janzen) Madeline and Ryan; and cherished nieces, nephews, and friends.  Eric is predeceased by his brother Alexander and is survived by his brother Sidney.

 

Family and friends will gather Tuesday, December 30th at 10am to celebrate Eric’s life at Highland Park Cemetery, 2037 McGee Side Road, Carp, ON.  

 

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a memorial contribution to The Dementia Society of Ottawa and Renfrew County.
 

Eric will be deeply missed but forever remembered for the love and light he brought to everyone fortunate enough to know him.
