DILLON, Carmen (nee Gauvreau)

Retired from Graphic Arts International Union 

 

DILLON, Carmen, passed away peacefully at her residence at VIVA Barrhaven Retirement Home on Friday, January 2, 2026 at the age of 96. Beloved wife of the late John Gerald “Jerry” Dillon, mother of Nancy (Danny Wojcik), and Kathleen (Paul Schiemann). Grandmother of Amy (Ethan), Dean (Delynne), Neil (Anna), Daniel (Charlotte), and Kevin (Maryse). Great-grandmother to Jakob, Jack, Brody, Eva, Isabelle, Siena, Hudson, Liane, Gisele and Wesley.  Carmen was predeceased by her brothers, Gilbert (late Doreen) Gauvreau and Paul Gauvreau. Sister-in-law to Rita Lasky (late William Lasky).

 

She was also predeceased by her in-laws Noreen Cunningham and Bob Cunningham.  Carmen will be remembered for her joy of life, love for her family and amazing artistic talent.  Carmen along with her husband Jerry were very involved in the Ottawa Deaf Community. She was an avid bridge player and had such a wonderful friendship with her bridge friends which she enjoyed up to the very end.  Private service to be held a future date.
