Obituary of Barbara Cowan-Skinner

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Barbara Ethel Cowan-Skinner on Friday, January 2, 2026 at age 93 years.

Barb was born in Montreal, Quebec to the late Arthur and Ethel Dendy. Beloved wife of the late William Cowan and the late Stewart Skinner. Cherished mother of Neal (Cavell Townley) and Gary Cowan, step-mother of David (Karen Patrick), and Doug (Cathy) Skinner and Dawn (Rob) Phillips, grandmother of Terry Cowan (Grace Myles), step grandmother of Jason (Nataly) Phillips, Shannon (Carmen) Lapietra, Kyle (Katie) Skinner and Brittany (Jacob) Wallace, great grandmother to 6, sister of the late Norma Marchessault.

Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 12, 2026 in the Pinecrest Remembrance Chapel, 2500 Baseline Road, Ottawa.
