Obituary of Keith Davidson
Keith passed away peacefully at Hazeldean Gardens Residence on Sunday, February 8, 2026, surrounded by his family at the age of 92 (1933-2026). Keith will be dearly missed by his beloved wife Ruth (nee Hicks) of 68 years. Loving father of Terry (Nancy) and Barry (Maxine). Proud grandfather of Greg (Abby), Geoff (Meghan), Jake (Jasmine), Rebecca and Connor. Great grandfather to Aria, Elodie, Brookyln, Laken and Layla.
Fondly remembered by his siblings John, Hazel, Joan and his many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Predeceased by brother’s Donald, Eldon, Gordon, Ken and sisters Helen, Audrey, and Anne.
Born on October 9, 1933, on the same farm that he never left, he dedicated his life to family and public service. Keith was a retired Fire Chief for the Nepean Fire Department with 36 years of service. Keith also had a love of farming which kept him in the tractor seat right up to this past October.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate staff and doctors who provided exceptional care at Hazeldean Gardens, Bayshore Health Care, Ontario Health at Home and the Queensway Carleton Hospital. Visitation will be held at the Highland Park Cemetery (Cole), 2037 McGee Side Road, Carp on Thursday February 12 from 2pm to 4pm and 6 to 8 pm, and Friday February 13th from 11:30 a.m. until time of service in the chapel at 1:00 p.m. Reception to follow at the Highland Park Cemetery after burial.
In lieu of flowers, for those wishing, donations may be made to the Queensway Carleton Hospital Foundation.
