Obituary of Helen Jean Buell

 Jean passed away peacefully in the presence of family at the Civic Campus of The Ottawa Hospital.  She endured an up and down battle after suffering a pelvic fracture due to a fall days before Christmas.

Predeceased by her parents, Douglas and Norma Brown, her husband of 43 years Harold and her youngest son Scott (Robyn).  She is survived by her life partner of over 25 years Jean-Guy Pagé, younger sisters Joyce Saris, Diane Fleming and Pat Brown, her sons Michael (Sheila) and Gary (Diane), grandchildren Shannon (Patrick), Erin (Matt), Kyle (Tori), Ashley (Blair), Tyler (Miranda), Ryan and Cassidy, and great grandchildren Mason, Charlotte, Rowan, Olive and Waylon.  Also a much loved Aunt to many from coast to coast in Canada, and the United States.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date followed by interment at the family plot in Springbrook, Ontario.

The family wishes to gratefully thank the staff of the Civic Hospital for the care and compassion provided during her almost eight week stay.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. with Memorial Tributes offered at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 18, 2026 in the Pinecrest Reception Centre, 2500 Baseline Road, Ottawa. Donations in her honour to The Ottawa Hospital Foundation or The Canadian Cancer Society would be most appreciated.
