Obituary of Ronald Weber
Ronald Frank Frederick Weber (Ron/Ronnie/Sam) passed away peacefully on February 19, 2026, at the age of 85, surrounded by the family he loved so deeply.
Ron's life was built on love. Love for his wife, his children, his grandchildren, his great-grandchildren, his friends and his faith. He gave of himself freely and quietly, never asking for recognition, never keeping score. He simply showed up - again and again - with a steady presence and a generous heart.
If you asked him how he was doing, he would smile and say, "I'm G-g-g-r-reat!" or once he became ill, he would respond with "Living the dream!".
For 63 years, Ron shared a deep and faithful love with his wife, Sharon (nee Yuke). Together they traveled and explored the world, sharing adventures (and some misadventures) and creating a lifetime of memories. But more than anything, they stood by each other through every season.
He was a devoted father to Lori (Hugh), Lisa and Derek (Katerina). His children knew they were loved - not just in words, but in actions. As a grandfather to Megan, Shana, Brandon (Alana), Ethan, Kira, Jordan (Anik) and Sara (Josh), and as a proud great-grandfather to Myles and Jackson, his heart only grew bigger. He celebrated their achievements, comforted their struggles and loved each one unconditionally.
Ron's many friends looked to him for guidance and advice, because he was such a great coach, mentor and businessman. He never turned anyone away and always had the time to listen and help in little and big ways.
Ron's faith shaped the way he lived. It gave him strength and perspective. Even on the hardest days during his struggles with leukemia, he remained positive We are deeply grateful to the medical staff in the Acute Medical Unit at the General Campus, and to the wonderful staff at Queensway Carleton Hospital for their gentle care and kindness throughout Ron's many stays. A special thank you to Pastor Dave Whitecross for his many visits and prayers.
Ron, we miss you but we will carry your love forward. Your voice will echo in our hearts, "I'm GREAT!" And yes, we will continue to live the dream.
In lieu of flowers, please honour Ron with a donation to Trinity Presbyterian Church, Kanata or with a donation to a charity of your choice.
A Celebration of Ron's Life will be held in the spring, with details to follow.
