Obituary of Keri-Lynn Tucker

It is with profound sadness and deep love that we announce the passing of Keri-Lynn Tucker, age 54, of Ottawa, Ontario, on March 20, 2026.

Keri’s greatest love was her family. She leaves behind her cherished son Kyle Tucker, her loving father, Wayne Tucker, her brothers David and Steven (Suzanne), and nieces and nephews Amber, Ash, Christopher, and Scott.  She was predeceased by her beloved mother Mary Tucker (nee Latimer) and sister-in-law Crystal Tucker.  She will be deeply missed by her large extended family and countless friends.

Keri started her formal elementary education at the Colby Village Elementary school in Dartmouth Nova Scotia and  completed at Mount Pearl Elementary in Mount Pearl Newfoundland, After moving to Whitby, Ontaio she attended Harwood Secondary for Grades 9 &10 and then to Anderson Collegiate for 11 & 12. After the birth of her son Kyle ,Keri went to Durham College and graduated with a 2 years General Arts and Science Diploma and a certificate in Microsoft software in 1998. After moving to Ottawa and having her hip replaced Keri enrolled at Algonquin College in Pre-Animation and illustration and received a Certificate. She then enrolled in the 2 year computer Graphics program, survived the challenges associated with Para Transpo and her power wheelchair and graduated with another Diploma.

Keri then started her craft business Crafty,s and made wreaths, shadow boxes , glasses and Tee shirts and sold them at the local craft fairs in the Ottawa and Durham region. Keri was a kind, strong, and creative woman – an artist at heart – who was at her happiest when in the middle of one of her projects. Her warmth, joyful nature, and compassion touched everyone she met. Her laughter and love will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

 

A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Keri’s memory may be made to the Lions Foundation of Canada Dog Guides, or the War Amps of Canada.
