My oh my, this heartbreaking tragedy has affected so many. My heart goes out to Sammie’s close family and friends. I am still having a hard time wrapping my head around this loss.
Sammie wasn’t just my cousin, she felt like a sister to me. She was my best friend. I remember us growing up and living together throughout a large amount of our childhood, and she would sometimes ask me to massage her before bed - swearing she’d massage me after. She always fell asleep, every single time. It was so funny, and I could never get mad. I was always happy knowing she felt some comfort.
She came to my stag & doe at Canada’s Wonderland and I experienced roller coasters for the first time ever with her. I have so many past memories of adventures and new experiences with her. Sammie was so adventurous, fun, outgoing, comforting, compassionate, and sure as heck knew how to make anyone in the room laugh or smile.
She was the brightest light through darkness, a beautifully passionate woman with the biggest heart imaginable. Memories made with Sammie are so easily remembered. I will cherish every memory I have with her close to my heart dearly.
May you rest in paradise and fly high with your mom, I love you indefinitely.
