Obituary of Lee-Ann Carol McGurk

It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Lee-Ann Carol McGurk , who died peacefully on June 13, 2026, at the age of 63, following a courageous battle with cancer.

Lee-Ann was the beloved wife of Paul Cummings. She was a cherished sister to Ted McGurk (Beverly) and a loving aunt to her niece Carly McGurk and nephews, Damen McGurk and Terek McGurk, sons of her late sister Jennifer McGurk (Roger Nairne).

She was also the cherished niece of Gerald Brens (Charlotte) and a dear cousin to Madeleine, Jerry (Patty), and Christopher (Shelley).

Lee-Ann was predeceased by her father, Ron McGurk; her mother, Claudie McGurk.

Lee-Ann found joy in life's simple pleasures. She loved working on puzzles, experimenting with new recipes, and making use of vegetables from her own garden—especially her prized garlic and green beans. A lifelong animal lover, she had a special affection for golden retrievers and cats.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., with remarks and memories shared at 2:00 p.m., at Pinecrest Cemetery, 2500 Baseline Road, Ottawa.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Lee-Ann's memory may be made to the Ottawa Hospital Foundation, in gratitude for the exceptional care she received.

Lee-Ann will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
