Obituary of Kathryn Giard

GIARD, Kathryn (née Allen) – Peacefully on Thursday, July 9, 2026 at the age of 91 years. 

Beloved wife of the late Johnny Giard.  Loving mother of Patti and Kevin and step-mother of Louise (Marcel), Bob (Lyn), Denise (Mike) and Ann (Pete).  Cherished grandmother of Gabrielle and Sean, and step-grandmother of Marcel, Joey, Steve, Michael, Cheryl, Keri, Michelle, Ashley and Robyn. Lovingly remembered by many great-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren, and step-great-great-grandchildren.  Dear sister of Barbara. 

Predeceased by her parents, Gerald Allen and Vera Allen (née Hopeson), and by her sisters Margery (Bob), Dorothy (Ray) and Claire. 

Friends and family are invited to gather at Cole Funeral Services in Pinecrest Cemetery, 2500 Baseline Road, Ottawa, (613) 831-7122, on Friday, July 17, 2026 from 10:30am to 11:30 am.  Memorial Service will be held from 11:30 am until 12 noon, followed by a Graveside Service at 12 noon
