Obituary of Ellen Jones

JONES, Ellen (nee O'Neill)

February 5, 1924 to July 12, 2026

Peacefully at Granite Ridge in her 102nd year.  Much loved wife of William Jones (predeceased) (married 72 years) and loving Mother of Valerie (predeceased), Shirley (Bill) and Raymond (Brenda - predeceased). Beloved Grandmother to Michael (Beccy) and Joanne.  Great Grandmother to Jessica and James (Kim), Hayden and Ethan and Great-Great Grandmother to Cory and Cali.

Ellen was a Royal Army Veteran of WWII and later joined the Corp of Commissionaires.  She was a caring, generous, thoughtful woman who always put the needs of others before her own.  Her great sense of humor will be missed by many.  Thank you to the Granite Ridge staff for their care.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 16 at the Pinecrest Visitation Centre, 2500 Baseline Road, Ottawa with Visitation at 1:00 pm, a Celebration of Life Service at 2:00 pm with the burial following the Service.
