Ann Margaret Hélène Wiggins

1929 - 2026

With profound sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Ann Wiggins, surrounded by her loving family, on July 27, 2026, at the age of 96 years.

Her absence will be greatly felt by her daughters Barbara (Fernando), Diane (Raymond), Jennifer (Sean), and Wendy; by her granddaughters Megan (Chris), Emilie (Darren), Charlotte, and Olivia; and by her great-grandsons Robbie, Jonathan, and Rowan.

Ann was born in Windsor, Ontario, and was raised in Brockville. She graduated from secretarial college in Toronto, where she met Bruce, her future husband and father of their four daughters. Ann and Bruce lived in Quebec City and New York City, and settled in Ottawa, where Ann had a long career at the Civic Hospital.

Ann was an expert knitter, enjoyed volunteer work, loved to travel, and had a life-long love of swimming, particularly in the St. Lawrence River.

Ann will be remembered for her adventurous spirit, her independence, her vibrant love of family, and foremost her kindness.

Our family offers heartfelt thanks to the staff at Forest Hill, who exemplify compassion and provided outstanding care. We would also like to sincerely thank her loving companion, Malcolm.

The family will hold a private celebration of life.
