Obituary of Phyllis Murray

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Phyllis Murray, who slipped away quietly at the General Hospital on the morning of Friday, August 28th, at the age of 85.

Phyllis worked for many years at Perley Health, where she dedicated herself to supporting and caring for the residents. She had a true heart for serving others and found meaning in helping those around her.

Phyllis will be remembered for her quiet strength, her kindness, and her relentless smile. Her gentle presence and caring spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her sister, Sheila Murphy, and her nephew Adrian Murphy

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Ottawa Hospital Cancer Centre in Phyllis’s memory.

A Funeral Service will be held at the Pinecrest Remembrance Chapel, 2500 Baseline Road, Ottawa on Saturday, September 5, 2026 at 11am. Interment and reception to follow.
