Obituary of Heather Smith-Hanna

It is with heavy heart that her Dear Friend Diane Pennock and Family share that Heather passed away with dignity on Friday, February 7, 2025.

She leaves behind her partner Bryce Hanna, daughter Lisa Smith, son Jason Burke, grandson Zachary Burke, sisters Dawn Wyver, Lorraine Smith-Whiteman, Sue Skomsky (Dan), along with many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Phil Smith.

She will be missed by  many friends, whom she cherished as they cherished her.

We want to thank the many Doctors and Care Givers that supported Heather through her journey over the past few months. Special thanks to all the staff at Bruyere St. Vincent Hospital who cared for Heather during her last 38 days. They were exceptional support for her and us during her final journey to transforming from an earthly being to a magnificent angel.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 8, 2025 in Pinecrest Remembrance Chapel, 2500 Baseline Road, Ottawa. Inurnment and Reception will follow.
