Obituary of Nicholas Dorley

DORLEY, Nicholas Sean

Passed peacefully at home after a long illness on Sunday, March 16, 2025, at the age of 44 years.

Cherished son of Tania Dorley (née Zinow) and the late Timothy Dorley.  Loving father of Casper and Amelia, whom he adored above all else.  Dear brother of Kyle (Rodrigo) and Shana Mary.  Former husband of Mais Kiryakos.

Nick had a deep love for music, and literature, passions that shaped his life and thinking. Throughout his youth he enjoyed his friends, playing hockey, soccer and guitar. He pursued philosophy at Carleton University, where he earned his degree, and furthered those studies at Concordia University. A thoughtful and introspective man, he was known for his sharp mind, reflective discourse and unwavering dedication to his children.

Friends are invited to gather from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m on Monday, March 24, 2025 at Cole Funeral Services, Pinecrest Cemetery, 2500 Baseline Road, Ottawa.  

A Service in Memory of Nick will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 25, 2025 in the Pinecrest Remembrance Chapel. In Memoriam, donations appreciated to the Ottawa Food Bank appreciated.
