Obituary of Derek Love

It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden but peaceful passing of our beloved son, husband, father, grandfather and friend, Derek Love of White Lake, Ontario.  Derek leaves behind his wife, Nancy Burrows, and his daughters Jenny Love (Oliver Bishop and grandson Owen Love), Amy Love (Matt Goddard) with his former wife Anne Davies; and his step-daughter Zoe Bonell (Rhys Harrison).  Derek is also survived by his mother Beverley Love and his siblings Bruce, Darlene and Shauna (Mike Morin).  He is predeceased by his father Herbert Love.  Derek was a proud member of the Ottawa Police Service.  Derek was hired as a Constable in 1975 and retired in 2005 as a Staff Sargent.  Special thanks for the love and support to his sister in-law Mary Jane Burrows and his friends and neighbours at the Lake.  The family would like to thank the staff at the Courtyards on Eagleson for their wonderful care of Derek during his last few months especially Andrew and Rebecca.
