Obituary of Wendy Maureen Anderson

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Wendy Maureen Anderson on April 28th 2025, in the warmth of the sunshine at the Ruddy-Shenkman Hospice at 68 years of age. Wendy passed peacefully surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with cancer.

Predeceased by her beloved Husband, Frederick Anderson, Wendy was a devoted mother to Gregory (Michelle), Steven (Ashley), Douglas (Andrea) and Emily (Greg). She was a proud grandmother to her 7 grandchildren: Logan, Grace, Lily, Lennyx, Amelia, Reigna and Aaron. She is survived by her brother Jeff, sister Cheryl and sister in law Carol (Rick). She was predeceased by parents Audrey and Clifford Pilgrim and her brother Terry. Wendy loved her family more than anything and found immense joy and purpose in being surrounded by those she cherished most. She will be missed by many. 

A heartfelt thank you to her Palliative care doctor, Dr Paul Hacker, and Max and the whole At home Hospice team for taking such great care of Wendy at home. The family would also like to extend a very special thank you to the compassionate staff and volunteers at the Ruddy- Shenkman Hospice, who provided such meaningful care in her final weeks. The family will be accepting donations on behalf of the Ruddy-Shenkman Hospice for the tremendous support they provided.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Barrhaven Royal Canadian Legion Branch 641, 3500 Fallowfield Rd. on Wednesday, May 14th 2025 from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm. for anyone who wishes to pay their respects and join in honouring Wendy’s memory.
