Obituary of Grant Alan Jessup
With deepest sadness, the family of Grant Jessup announces his peaceful passing in Ottawa on May 2, 2025 with his children by his side. Now reunited with his beloved wife, the late Patricia (nee Lailey). Most dearly loved Dad to Karen (John) Fischer of Stittsville and John (Jenny) Jessup of Vancouver. Forever lovingly proud of his cherished grandchildren, Caitlin, Lily and Mark Fischer; and Olivia and Davis Jessup. Loving brother to his predeceased siblings, Murray Jessup(infancy), Shirley Marie Jessup (toddler), Jean (late Cyril) Chapman, and Joan (late Ken) Kerr. Sadly missed and loved by his brother-in-law Bob (late Brenda) Lailey. Remembered with love by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
Predeceased by his parents Irma Avona (Dunne) and William John Jessup of Ottawa and Madawaska. Our lives were truly blessed with his unwavering devotion to his family, his wonderful sense of humour, and the quiet kindness and generosity he shared with everyone who knew him. Family and friends may visit at the Pinecrest Visitation Centre, 2500 Baseline Road, Ottawa, on Friday May 16, 2025 from 6:00pm to 9:00pm. A Celebration of Life, with words of remembrance and a light luncheon, will take place at the same location on Saturday May 17, 2025 from 11:00am to 1:00pm. All are welcome. Memorial donations to the Ottawa Humane Society or to Parkinson Canada would be appreciated by the family.
