Obituary of Pasquale Cianci

CIANCI, Pasquale – Peacefully passed away at The Ottawa Hospital Civic Campus on Tuesday, May 13, 2025 at the age of 92 years.  

Born on November 4, 1932, in Fiumara, Italy, Pasquale was a man of keen intellect. He approached life with a thoughtful and patient demeanor, always ready to offer guidance or a listening ear. His intelligence was matched only by his profound capacity for kindness and understanding.

Beloved husband of Rosa (née Zito) for 59 years. Loving father of Lucia (late Elie), John (Susan), and Rocco (Jodi). Cherished Nonno of Vanessa, Matteo, Lilly, Jackson, Roman, Nick, and Jake.

Pasquale was predeceased by his parents Giovanni and Rosa Cianci, his sister Immacolata (Italy), brother Domenico (Italy), sister Paola, and brother Antonino (Italy). He will also be dearly missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends in Canada and Italy.

A devoted husband and father, Pasquale's greatest joy was found in the time he spent with his beloved grandchildren. He had a special way of making each one feel cherished and seen.  He embraced his role as a second father to his grandchildren Vanessa (his No #1) and Jackson (his Champ), offering them unwavering love and support.

His presence was a comforting constant, and his absence will be deeply felt by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Pasquale's legacy of love will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

A gathering with family and friends will be held in Cole Funeral Services at Pinecrest Cemetery, 2500 Baseline Road, Ottawa on Friday, May 23, 2025, from 10 am, until time of Christian Funeral Service in the Chapel on Friday at 11 am.   Interment and reception to follow.
