Obituary of June Hobson SRN, RN

June Hobson (née June Gwendoline Wagner) was born on June 29, 1932, in Plymouth, England and immigrated to Canada after the Second World War and settled in Ottawa. She passed away peacefully at home, on Monday, May 26, 2025 in Ottawa, Ontario, surrounded by family and friends.

June is survived by her husband Ronald, sons; Eric (Chris), Ian (Merima), and Andrew (Beth), her beloved grandchildren Rhyanna, Carleigh, Meredith, Evan, Abby, Alis and George, her sisters Janet and Karen (Dwayne), and her nieces Kim, Tammy, and Kristen.

She was a wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, nurse, seamstress, chef extraordinaire, and a most trusted friend to many. Kind, caring and giving she will be known in the Community as someone who could be relied on during good times and bad.

June was a known Queensway Carleton “Hard Hat” and was one of the first RN'S to work at the newly established hospital in the Geriatric Department in 1976.
