Obituary of Douglas Oscar Miess

April 13, 1930- April 17, 2025

Doug died peacefully after a blessed and fulfilling life. He was a caring Father to Brian (Patsy) and Patricia Brinskelle (Jeff), a devoted Pappy to Aidan, Jacob, Erin, Kylee (Josh), Heidi, Steffi and Victor. Brother to Jean, Bobby, Ruth, and Margie and a special Uncle to many. Doug has gone to join the Lord, his late wife Florrie, and a number of close relatives. After a rewarding career with BNR, Doug enjoyed volunteering with the Nortel Pioneers and the Arnprior Men’s Shed and tending to his pretty gardens in Old Barrhaven.

A Memorial Service will be held at the Pinecrest Remembrance Chapel, 2500 Baseline Road, Ottawa on Saturday, June 7, 2025 at 10am. Feel free to join us for coffee/tea and conversations before the service from 9-10 am in the reception room beside the chapel.
