Obituary of Patsy Curran

With heavy hearts but deep gratitude for a life so beautifully lived, we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved Patsy Curran on May 23, 2025, in her 67th year.

Patsy was a beacon of kindness, compassion, and quiet strength. Her life was a testament to selflessness—always putting others before herself and finding joy in making life better for those she loved. To know Patsy was to experience true warmth and generosity.

A dedicated employee of the City of Ottawa for many years, Patsy built lasting friendships and touched the lives of countless colleagues. Outside of work, her happiest moments were often spent in the great outdoors, especially at her cherished cottage on Little Silver Lake, where she shared countless memories with family, friends, and beloved pets.

Patsy faced her eight-year battle with cancer with courage, dignity, and unwavering spirit. Her strength inspired all who knew her.

She will be deeply missed by her devoted family: her brother Jim (the late Linda), Barb, nephew Mike (Jen), nieces Kristie (Danny) and Amy (Thomas), and great-nieces Norah and Naomi. Also mourning her loss are her loving partner Bob Loper and her cherished fur baby, Chinook. She is reunited with her parents, James Curran and Doris (Allen), who surely welcomed her with open arms.

Affectionately known as a beloved sister, Auntie, Grauntie, partner, and friend, Patsy had a remarkable gift for bringing light and laughter wherever she went. Her legacy is one of love, kindness, and joyful memories that will live on in the hearts of all who were lucky enough to know her.

A Memorial Service for Patsy will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 18, 2025 in the Pinecrest Remembrance Chapel, 2500 Baseline Road. Inurnment and Reception will follow.
