Obituary of J. Stanley Cameron

It is with sadness that the family of Stanley Cameron announce his death following a long illness. Stan was a devoted husband to Peggy for over 55 years; the youngest son of Angus J. and Ida (Foley) Cameron; dear brother of the late Donalda Cameron, the late Gerald and his wife Phyllis, Shirley and her husband Gavin Kempton, and Stuart and his wife Ruth and the late Lois Anne. Beloved uncle of Corinne and her husband Norm Boxall, Blaine, David and his wife Charlene Kavanagh, Christina and her husband Jeff Lucas, John and Laurie-Anne Kempton and Michael; great-uncle to Maxwell and Liam; Blaine and Lachlan; Ruby; and Declan. He will be fondly remembered by his brothers-in-law Randy and Eddie Knox and their families. A graduate of St. Patrick's College, Stan had a successful career as an insurance executive that took him from Ottawa to Toronto and back. Stan was a dedicated Toronto Maple Leafs fan and proud Canadian.  A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Saint Patrick Basilica, 220 Kent Street, Ottawa on Monday, June 16, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. Reception to follow.
