





Obituary of John Diamantakos
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of John Diamantakos in hospital on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, at the age of 94. Predeceased by his loving wife, Athena, his beloved son George, his parents, George and Panayiota and his siblings, Nikolaos, Stavros, Sotiris, Socrates, Sarantos, Petros, Olympia and Kyriakos. Survived by his brother-in-law Jim (the late Olympia), sisters-in-law Vasiliki (the late Panayioti) in Toronto and Vasiliki (the late Kyriakos) in Greece.
John was a dedicated and loving husband, proud father, devoted brother, uncle and friend to so many in our community. He will be fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, grandnephews, grandnieces, extended family, and friends in Canada and Greece.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude and appreciation to family and friends for all the support given to John during these difficult years. We would also like to extend our heartfelt thanks to his nurse, Lynn and the staff at Park Place Retirement Residence for the compassionate care, and support that they provided to John.
Visitation for family and friends will take place on Tuesday June 24, 2025 at the Dormition of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church, 1315 Prince of Wales Drive from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, followed by the Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Pinecrest Cemetery, followed by a reception at the church.
