It is with deep sorrow that we mourn the sudden passing of our cherished husband, father, grandpa, brother and uncle, Michael Tremblay.  After a long battle with Polycythemia Vera and myelofibrosis, Michael passed away at home on Thursday, July 3rd, 2025, at the age of 73.  He will be forever loved and missed by his devoted wife Ruth, his cherished son Chris (Amanda), his treasured daughter Esme and his absolutely adored grandson, Lucas.  Michael was always a most attentive, loving and guiding light in the lives of his children, Chris and Esme.

Predeceased by his mother, Irene Davern; his father, Normand Tremblay; his sister, Louise; his brother, Richard; and his nephew, Sean.  Mike will be forever loved and missed by his brother David (Lorraine); his sister, Carol (Darrell); his nieces, Shannon, Angel, Allison and Elizabeth; his nephews Ryan, Jon (Maddie), Connor (Kaitlan), Phillip and Brent; and cousins Betsy (Macky) and David (Claude).  Forever in the prayers of his family in England/Wales – Carmel (Norman, dec), Elaine (Tony), Paul (Sandra, dec), David (Sandra), John (Jan), Sandra, Hazel (Cyril) & Ethan, Sarah, Steven (Kelly), Angela, Martin, Claire (Daz), Thomas (Mia), Kate and William.  He will also be missed by his many friends and business associates.

Michael was born in Ottawa, Ontario in 1952.  After graduating from Algonquin College, he worked for Olivetti in Halifax, NS and Toronto for several years.  He then found his passion and worked diligently for over 45 years in the commercial real estate community of Ontario, primarily in Ottawa and Kingston, winning numerous awards for his outstanding performance.  He also served for many years on the Ottawa Real Estate Board.  He will be missed greatly by his Kingston Royal LePage real estate partner and good friend, Peter Gilmore.

Michael was a warm, gentle-hearted man of many joys.  He loved gardening, baking & cooking, delicious food, entertaining family & friends, rock ‘n’ roll music, beaches, fishing, enjoying a special beer, movies, keeping up with the news and reading a good book.
