Obituary of Norman Neilsen

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Norman Neilsen, who was born on March 7th, 1944 and passed away peacefully on July 17th, 2025, at the age of 81, surrounded by his loved ones.

A devoted family man, Norman is lovingly remembered by his children Christine, and Gerry Neilsen (Catherine). He was a proud grandfather to Robbie (Emily), Isabella (Kazim), and cherished every moment spent with them.

Norman was a well-known and beloved member of the Nepean community. With his warm presence and signature sense of humour, he never missed a chance to share a joke or bring a smile to someone’s face. His ability to light up any room he entered will never be forgotten.

Norman lived a life full of pride, laughter, and deep connection to those around him. His legacy of kindness, community spirit, and love for family will live on in all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Family and friends are invited to visit the Pinecrest Visitation Centre, 2500 Baseline Road, Ottawa, on Thursday, July 24, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Service at 11 a.m. Interment and reception to follow.
