I only met Courtenay once briefly many years ago.
From what I know about him and his family, he did a fantastic job as a dad.
My condolences to Vania and her family.
We know he is resting with the Lord in heaven.

Starr and Family. Sorry we are not able to be with you today. Courtenay was such a kind, gentle man with a strong faith, who loved everyone and was also loved by so many. He will leave a great void in the lives of those who loved him. The memories we have of Courtenay are wonderful ones and I know you all will cherish the ones you have of him. Our faith gives us the hope that we will see him again someday. Rest in Peace Courtenay. Our thoughts, love and prayers are with all of you. Love your sister Darcell, brother-in-law Leonard and nephew Jeremy.

Courtenay was a giant of a man. However, his physical stature was dwarfed by his wisdom, generosity, and kindness. He opened his heart and home to anyone in need, asking nothing in return but a good conversation. He was a joy to talk to, with a gift for making you think. Some of his wise words still regularly play in my mind today, even years later.
If we all strove for even a fraction of his character and grace, the world would be a better place. Condolence to the Levans family, and to everyone he impacted throughout his life.

The relatives of Courtney Jackson Levans.
A brother from Guyana whom I never knew has died and I feel compelled to offer a tribute..
While alive, Mr. Levans must have had great impact on the community in which he lived, and his passing will be a great loss to everyone who knew him, family and friends alike. The pillars in our communities are falling and one would hope that the replacements are just as capable.
I am sure there is much grief and mourning at his passing, but time is the great healer, and in time, the pain of his loss will slowly subside, but Mr. Levans will never be forgotten by those whom he was close to.
May he rest peacefully on his journey into Heaven where the Good Lord is waiting to welcome him with open arms.

So sorry to hear this.
I can't but smile, however, because (even though it's been over 25... 30...?! years) I can clearly hear his deep, rich, spontaneous laugh crescendo in my ears. Looking forward to hearing it again!
Love to Timmy, Vania, Deborah, Andrea, and Starr,
Brian Kirk

An anchor, a rock, steadfast and present. I think if you were to ask anyone who spent time with Levans family to describe Courtnay, they would likely concur with the above characteristics. He was a man whom you could not help but respect, a man whose words you listened carefully to, a man whose physical presence matched his spiritual presence. Our sincere and deep condolences to the whole family. We know that the loss of your husband, father, grandfather, will leave a deep gap in your lives. We pray for the comfort and strength of our heavenly father to hold and sustain you in your loss.

My deepest condolences to the Levans family. Today a devoted man of God has left us, a great storyteller and father that I had the honor to meet back in 2014 when his wife Starr and him hosted me as an exchange student.
Our hearts and souls are now with his soul and his family, to whom we offer our deepest prayers.

Sending condolences to the Levans family. Courtenay was a man who left an impact on my life and my faith. I will remember his smile, laugh, quiet humour and strength. I always felt welcome in his home to share time with his family and always felt so loved while there. Those are some of the greatest memories for me ♥️ He raised wonderful, funny and loving humans, a true testament to his character is reflected in them.
