Obituary of Gary Ross Ashton

January 24, 1944 – August 14, 2025

Passed away peacefully at Orchard View Gardens in Almonte, Ontario, on Thursday, August 14, 2025, at the age of 81.

Born in Ottawa, Ontario, Gary is survived by his beloved wife, Therese, his children Jenifer Gardiner (Gord) and Joshua Ashton (Johanna), his sister Charmaine Hill, and his brother Carl Ashton (Eva).

He is predeceased by the mother of his children, his first wife Sharon (1998), his parents Stanley and Noella Ashton, and his sister Gail Hinds (The late Horace).

Gary will be fondly remembered by many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

An interment will take place on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Highland Park Cemetery, 2037 McGee Side Road, Carp. A Memorial Reception will follow at Highland Park.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Gary may be made to the Lanark Animal Welfare Society or Parkinson Canada.
