Dear Dave, Kerry, and Michele: My heartfelt condolences to you and yours. My sister was so much older than the last three of us that we don't remember her living at home with us. However, she and I shared an 'almost' birthday 14 years apart if, as our Mom had said, I had waited for two more hours. When I was a kid I remember her always having gum, always reading, and always taking care of Bootsie, our dog (which turned out to be her dog). When she and Bernie got married, the dog went with them. I always liked her fingernails and how she polished them, and always liked that she was a hairdresser even though she never styled our hair. I shared my dolls, my doll carriage and my doll clothes with Eleanor for her girls, only to find out later that she sold them after you were finished playing with them! Funny the things we remember when we get older. She was my big sister and I will miss her always. Love you guys, love my sister, may she dance with our many angels now.
Love, peace and strength, your Auntie Marj xo

Eleanor was my oldest sister. I can say that because I have 4 older sisters. She was predeceased by my next oldest sister,Aileen. She is survived by her siblings, Trudy,Marjorie, and myself,Bruce, the youngest and only boy. She is also survived by her children Dave(Angela),Kerry(Jon), and Michele. Also her grandchildren,Dave Jr.,Christine, and Micheal,as well as Jake and Jenna. Sadly she was predeceased by her husband Bernie, who surprisingly died on her birthday(Sept. 14) as she said to ensure she would never forget!. She was a kind and understanding mother to her wonderful kids and her extended family and friends. She was once a hairdresser but gave that up to raise her family. I always have the image of her laughing at Bernies jokes and the two of them on the dance floor at every occasion or playing cards. I'll miss her. She loved to keep up on current events,as did I and our mother. Her illness came on rather quickly and she faced it bravely till the end.She has lived longer than any of our family, just shy of 88 years. Rest in Peace sis.
