Obituary of Peter Chan

Peter Shiu-Son Chan passed away peacefully at the Peter D. Clark Long Term Care Centre on August 30, 2025, after suffering a debilitating stroke. He is the son of the late Hong Lok Chan and Mee Ngan Wong.

Despite numerous health obstacles including Alzheimer, his positive demeanour and good humour never wavered. He loved listening to Elvis Presley, going out for lunch and visits from his children and grandchildren. 

Peter will be dearly missed by his entire family. He is survived by his sisters Josephine (the late Tommy) and Angela (Milton); his children Pete, Julie (Jason) and Bruce; his grandchildren Jarred (Aine), Kailyn and Logan; his great-grandson Theodore as well as his nieces Ellen, Connie, Alli, Rachel and Sheila.

His daughter would like to wish sincere thanks to the staff of Peter D. Clark bungalows for providing exceptional care and compassion over the many years that our father was in their care.

A visitation will be held at the Cole Funeral Services & Pinecrest Remembrance, 2500 Baseline Road, Ottawa on Thursday, September 4, 2025, where family and friends can visit from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. with a service in the Chapel at 1:00 p.m.
