Obituary of Penny Ranger

Predeceased by her parents Donald and Audrey Gale, and her younger sister Susan, Penny is survived by her husband Bill, their two children Wesley (Partner Samantha) and Adam (Partner Kimberly), grandchildren Marcus, Jackson, Payton, Amon, Levi and Max plus their partners’ children Austin, Brayden, Victoria, Alex and Della, siblings include Dawn (Pat) Holcombe, Robert (Janet) Gale, Bill (Lisa) Gale and many nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday September 12, 2025 at 11am, in St. Paul’s Anglican Church, Hazeldean District of Kanata, 20 Yonge Road, Ottawa, with  visitation starting at 10 am and the service at 11am. A reception will follow in the adjoining hall.

For those unable to attend the service physically at 11am, it will be broadcasted over the internet by accessing the church website CHURCHLINK   Once on the Home Page, click on the “Watch Online” button and select the live presentation.

Interment of Penny’s ashes will follow in Pinecrest Cemetery at a yet to be determined date, following the funeral.

In lieu of flowers, the family is suggesting that a donation be made to a favourite charity of choice in memory of Penny.

Although she is gone, she will not be forgotten.  We like to think that she has gone to her new home in heaven where she will be able to sing and dance, as she did in life.  She will be missed by her family and friends, and hopefully waiting for us, saving a place for us all on the dance floor.
