Obituary of Ifechukwukwulu Patricia Nnonyelum Okafo nee Onyejekwe

With deep gratitude to the Lord for His favor and grace upon her life, we announce the passing into the Glory of the Lord of our beloved mother, sister, grandmother, and friend, Patricia Nnonyelum Okafo on Tuesday, Sept 10, 2025, at the glorious age of 86 years. Fondly known as Dayo, she is lovingly remembered by her three children, cherished grandchildren, devoted sisters and brothers, and a wide circle of extended family and friends.

A dedicated nurse by profession, Patricia served with compassion and excellence in England, Nigeria, and Saudi Arabia, retiring after 43 years of an illustrious career. She was not only a caregiver to her patients but also a mentor to many young professionals, rising to the esteemed rank of Matron. Even in retirement, she remained a pillar of strength and support within her family and church community. Following the passing of her beloved husband of 54 yrs, she immigrated to Canada to be with her daughter and her family, where she spent her last days surrounded by the love, warmth and care of family.

 We will miss you deeply, Mummy. But we rejoice in the knowledge that you are with the Lord. May God grant us the comfort to endure until we meet again in Heaven.
