Obituary of Eugene Alvaro

It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Eugene G. Alvaro, aged 66, of Ottawa, Ontario. Born in the Philippines, he was the beloved son of the late Ambassador Jesus C. Alvaro and the late Iluminada G. Alvaro. Eugene was the devoted husband to Kristine, and loving father to Erik. He was also a dear brother to Lysander (Charito), Abigail (Noel), Lily (Edward), and Jamile (Angel). He will be lovingly remembered as a fun uncle to many nieces and nephews; and a dependable gentleman to family and friends with his charming personality.

A Memorial Service  will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 14, 2025 in Pinecrest Remembrance Chapel, 2500 Baseline Road. Inurnment and reception will follow. Family and friends are warmly invited to attend and honour Eugene’s life. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation Canada or ANCOP International (Canada) Inc.
