Constantin Loverdos

Obituary of Constantin Loverdos

It is with heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of Constantin (Kostas) Loverdos on Saturday, October 4, 2025 at his home at the age of 84.

Kostas was the beloved husband of Panayota (Giota) for 59 years, and a loving father to Helen and Dora (Carlos Almeida). Predeceased by his brother Ilias Antzoulatos in Greece.

Throughout his life, Kostas enjoyed gardening and travelling, but above all, he treasured spending time with his wife, daughters and son-in-law, creating lasting memories together. He was a quiet and humble soul, never seeking attention. He was full of humour and had an uncanny way of making everyone laugh. Kostas leaves behind a legacy of love, family, and hard work. His presence will be deeply missed, and his spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. He will be deeply missed by his nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends in Greece, Canada, Mexico, and the U.S.

Family and friends may pay their respects at the Dormition of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church, Hellenic Community of Ottawa (1315 Prince of Wales Drive, Ottawa) on Saturday, October 11, 2025, from 9:30 am until the time of the Funeral Service at 10:30 am, immediately followed by Interment at the Pinecrest Cemetery, 2500 Baseline Road, and then a reception at the Seniors Centre of the Hellenic Community Centre.
