Obituary of Robert Andrew Wright

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Robert Andrew Wright on October 5th, 2025 at the age of 79 years. He left us peacefully surrounded by family.

Born in Ottawa on September 14, 1946 to the late Robert Arthur and Lillian Villeneuve.

He spent countless hours devoting his time to coaching football and expanding the sport for the youth in this city as well as many years traveling and working abroad.

He will be fondly missed by his children,  grandchildren and brothers; Christopher (Sarah) Bodie, Darius & Ely, Jason (Tammara) Tanner and Emmett, Ai (Erika) their expected newborn as well as his brothers, Brian (Susan) and Father Michael.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Cole Funeral Services, 2500 Baseline Road, Ottawa,  on  Friday, October 10th, 2025  from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. and interment to follow at the Pinecrest Cemetery.
