Obituary of George Paul Berthin

Passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 16, 2025 at the age of 94.

Beloved husband of the late Ella Berthin. Loving father of Gordon (Flora), Wayne (Josephine) and Brenda (Bruno) DiNardo. Proud Grandfather of Michael, Alex, Julie, Sarah, Lisa, Brittany, Kayla, Derek and 12 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his brothers Bill and Bob Berthin.

George spent his life working in the field of mechanical engineering. In his spare time he enjoyed all forms of classical music and spent time singing in many different choirs. Much of his retirement was spent surrounded by the beauty of nature at his cottage on Bob‘s Lake.

Many thanks to all of George’s wonderful caretakers over the years and to the entire staff at the Peter D. Clark Centre. We are so grateful for your kindness and patience with George’s care.

Visitation will be held on Monday October 20, 2025 at Pinecrest Visitation Centre, 2500 Baseline Road, Ottawa from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the Funeral Service at 2:00 p.m.  A reception will follow.
