Obituary of Christine Hope Cameron
Christine (Chrissy) passed away peacefully at the tender age of 29 on October 31, 2025, at Maison de l’est Hospice, with her loving parents by her side.
Christine was beautiful, intelligent, generous and caring. She adored her family - her parents, brother, grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins and dearly loved her pets Mya and Penny. She had an infectious laugh that could light up any room and a wonderful sense of humour paired with a sharp wit. You never wondered what she was thinking, she would tell you. Even on her hardest days, she could make others smile or laugh. Christine enjoyed all kinds of crafts, spending time at the cottage with her family, kayaking, tap dancing, sculpting with clay and woodburning. She faced her illness with remarkable strength, offering encouragement and compassion to others who needed it. She was truly a warrior.
Christine is survived by her mother Sandra Cameron (nee Brandstetter), father James (Jim) Cameron, brother James (Jamie) Cameron and Grandmother Marilyn Cameron. She is predeceased by her grandparents Jim Cameron, Elfriede and Rolf Brandstetter.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the many doctors and nurses who provided exceptional care, especially Dr. Rostom and Dr. Brooks from The Ottawa Hospital. Their care and compassion gave Christine many more precious years.
A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Donations in appreciation of Christine’s care may be made to The Ottawa Hospital or Maison de l’est Hospice in her name.
