Obituary of Martha Beith

We are sad to announce the passing of Martha Sutherland Beith (Terri) on April 23, 2024, with her loved ones near and under the excellent care of the team at The Glebe Centre.

Martha was born April 10, 1934, in Glasgow Scotland. She later came to Canada, working first as a nurse, then pursuing a teaching career, spending many years at Richmond Public School.

Martha was the cherished mother of Alison Trant (Douglas) and Findlay Beith (Sherrie Blimke), and the beloved Nana of Alec, Matthew, and Maggie Trant, as well as Caitlin and Kendra Beith. She is survived by her sister Margaret Edwards and predeceased by her brothers William and Edwin Sutherland.

A beautiful person, friend, mother, and Nana, Martha possessed a smile and laugh that could brighten any room. She imparted lessons of generosity, compassion, love, laughter, dedication, faith, and resilience, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew her. She will be forever remembered and dearly held in our hearts.
