Annual Spring Cleanup

Our spring cleanup of the cemetery grounds starts on April 15, 2025, at Pinecrest Cemetery and Highland Park Cemetery. This is to ensure the cemeteries are kept clean, and orderly for all visitors and safe for our grounds teams to work in.

We kindly ask that you remove all items that do not conform to our By-Laws from gravesites, as we do not wish to damage or remove any valued items during the clean up. We ask this for the safety of our grounds staff, and machinery that helps keep the cemetery beautiful all season long. Examples of items that should be removed are (but not limited to), artificial/live flowers, potted plants, solar lights, stands, railings, pictures, frames, and wreaths. Any items left may be removed by our staff.

We understand how meaningful these personal items are and always strive to handle them respectfully. Thank you very much for your cooperation and understanding.

We kindly remind you of our upcoming seasonal cemetery cleanups, guided by our By-Laws to help keep our cemetery beautiful and respectful for everyone. For a detailed printed version, please feel free to visit the main office or view our By-Laws here.

Fall Cleanup: Starts the Tuesday following Thanksgiving Day.
Spring Cleanup: Begins each year on April 15th.

Helpful Guidelines:

Memorial Wreaths: You're welcome to place wreaths from November 1st through April 15th. They will be gently removed afterward.

Decorations & Keepsakes: Items occasionally need to be moved for upkeep. We will try our best to notify you if valuable items are removed and will safely store them for up to 28 days for you to collect.

Flowers: Natural flowers are encouraged, but artificial ones are fine too if placed in an in-ground vase. Flowers that become unsightly will be removed to maintain the area's beauty.

Fences, Borders, & Railings: We kindly ask you to avoid installing these.

Candles & Lighting: Permitted only in specific areas next to upright monuments, according to cemetery guidelines.

Other Items: To ensure safety and maintain aesthetics, items like chairs, trellises, pottery, glass, and similar objects are not permitted.
