I have so many memories of Mrs. Stenger. I remember my staff at my TD branch referring to her as Friedl. She always referred to me as Mr. Kersley. It must have been the way we were brought up as I could only ever refer to her as Mrs. Stenger. She was such a lady. I REPEAT, she was such a fine lady, very quiet, extremely polite and reserved. ‘A class act’. She and Walter who came to Ottawa with very little, built a large commercial real estate portfolio through hard work and determination, that I was privileged to provide banking arrangements to. I recall they never took vacations during the first few decades. But when they reached the 25 year anniversary mark of Uniform Developments, a tour boat on the Ottawa river was chartered with the tenants and business associates of Uniform Developments invited. I can recall watching her standing back and being pleased with the crowd of people in front of her. It was such a fun way to celebrate such a mile stone. And of course every year they hosted the annual Christmas party for clients. And then they started taking breaks. I remember her telling me about trips to Aspen and Florida, which were long overdue and so well deserved. To the family Christine, Peter and Dorothy and more particularly Walter, I extend my sincere condolences on the passing of this fine lady. God bless you all.

To Peter and Dorothy my heartfelt condolences on the passing of their mother. My thoughts are with you and the entire Stenger family. I have met Mrs. Stenger and her husband Walter off and on during the past 30 years, mainly at German-speaking functions, and always admired her sweet smile and gentleness. She was truly a wonderful lady and will be greatly missed.
