When I was 12 yrs old I played football for the Rochester Lions and I met Rodney for the first time .
Rodney was 4 yrs older than me and had already made a name for himself as a serious and extremely passionate player.
Rodney was always fun to be around
He was funny and silly and we always had a good time .
Rodney stood up for me
I was insulted at a party and Rod heard the guy and Rodney made a spectacle about it
He told the guy..you have a problem with my friend
Then you have a problem with me
Rodney was my friend
When we'd get together
We become kids again
That's magical
Thank you for making laugh and feel like a silly kid when I needed it.
We Miss you "Rowdy " Roddy

In life we have precious few true friends. I am proud to say that Rodney was one of mine. May you watch over your Mom and Dad Rodney in their sorrow, My Prayers are with you and your family.

Just heard the news through the grapevine. I remember playing bike-tag with Rod and all our friends in Sandy Hill. Rod and I were tight in high-school. Rest In Peace, my brother.
