M.M.M. C.D. - Captain, (Ret'd) The Canadian Guards Veteran of the Korean War
Passed away peacefully at the Queensway Carleton Hospital on Sunday, November 29, 2015. Beloved husband of Joan (Hill) Haley. Son of the late Frederick and Della Haley, Niagara-on-the-Lake, predeceased by his first wife Iris Hamilton and brothers Jerrold and Allen Haley. Survived by his children Corinne Adams (Robert), Kathleen Davidson (Donald), Christine Haley, stepchildren Mark Hill (Kathy), Michael Hill (Donna), Tracy Malo (Frank) and sister Denise Haley Meebeor (John). Armand is also survived by his adored and special grandchildren, Catherine, Victoria, Jeremy, Sydney, Kevin, Haley Ann and Shelby Ann. Jas' military career included service with The Lincoln and Welland Regiment, The Royal Canadian Regiment, The Canadian Guards and the Supplementary Ready Reserve. Jas was the last serving Guardsman wearing the Canadian Guards cap star. A Memorial Service will be held at the Pinecrest Remembrance Chapel, 2500 Baseline Road, Ottawa on Saturday, December 5, 2015 at 12:30 pm. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, Salvation Army or charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family. For those of you who knew Armand well, please remember him fondly as a kind, caring, generous and humble man -- a real gentleman.
