Carrie and Family, Our most deepest condolences on your profound loss. Brent was truly the epitome of a true gentleman. He always greeted us warmly into his beautiful home, and with Carrie, it was always an exceptional evening. Amongst his many talents and qualities, his ability to listen so intently and give you his absolute undivided attention, even amongst a crowd of people, was so endearing. He was always genuinely interested, asking questions, and being so positive. You were always left with a warm feeling after speaking with Brent. He will be sorely missed. Sending love, Erin & Lucille

Hard to find the words here but Brent was definitely one of a kind. I only met Brent a handful of times but he was the type of person that just made you feel so welcome and accepted. His sense of humor was incredible and he was someone you just wanted to be around. Very sad to hear he has passed far too young. The word has lost a good one. My condolences Carrie and family. I retired as an Exec. Dir. from Ottawa Community Housing shortly before Brent joined. Recently, as President of Gloucester Housing Corporation Board, I attended sessions Brent presented with great competence and abundant dry wit at Ontario Non Profit Housing Assoc. conferences and Ottawa Social Housing Network meetings on corporate measurement and governance. I also know from my former workmates at OCH and from his current colleagues there at all levels that he was very respected and loved. He was a big presence, and is greatly missed.

Brent, although we didn't get to see each other often, you were always so easy to speak to and I always felt comfortable and welcome in your presence. You had a kindness that I and others such as my wife felt within you. These were some of the good qualities that made you so approachable and likeable. You genuinely cared about getting to know people where conversations were sincere and they certainly didn't wander far from laughter. You were a gentle soul and I cherish our times together. May you rest in peace dear cousin. Much, much love and hugs to Carrie (and your children), Leon, Brenda, Mathew, Daniel, Lucas and Brents grandchildren.
