So saddened to hear that Doreen has passed. My deepest sympathy. I had the privilege of working with Doreen in the gift shop for a few years. Such a warm woman. Always a wonderful greeting with her ever present smile. We had many special moments together which I have cherished. The gift shop for me was my favourite volunteer activity due to Doreen. The shop was a place of magic when Doreen managed it. God bless.

Dear Judy, Scott and all the family, my deepest sympathies on the loss of your mother. I had the absolute privilege of working side by side with Doreen at the Heart Institute for over 20 years. She business acumen and personality were a perfect combination to create a gift shop unlike any other in the city. Her dedication was an inspiration and her caring nature brought comfort to many a visitor to her shop. We had such fun doing new the window displays with each changing season. Doreen dedicated her whole life to the service of others. Her selfless devotion to volunteering made her a role model for all of us. Maureen Monaghan (Heart Institute volunteer)
