Obituary of Julie Gamila Kamel

It is with great sadness that we announce that Gamila peacefully passed away in hospital after a long but courageous battle with cancer in the early hours of Easter Sunday.   She was predeceased by her daughter Vera on Christmas Day of 1980.  Julie leaves behind her husband Rudy, her son Richard, her granddaughter Vera (lovingly named after her late aunt) and her brothers Raouf and Sami in Egypt. 

Visitation for family and friends to pay their last respects will be held at the Pinecrest Visitation Centre, 2500 Baseline Road on Tuesday, April 6, 2021 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.  Those wishing to attend must sign up using this link https://signup.com/go/ecsdDxP, or by calling 613-831-7122.

Funeral Mass will be held at St. George and St. Anthony Coptic Orthodox Church, 1081 Cadboro Road on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at 1:00 p.m.  Registration for the service must be done directly through the parish. Family and friends are also invited to join virtually by clicking this link Funeral Mass.   Interment to follow at Pinecrest Cemetery (a maximum of 50 guests permitted).
