Obituary of Gordon Milne
We are profoundly sad to share that Bruce passed away peacefully on Monday, August 16th, 2021, with his loving wife, Angela (née Coulthart) by his side. His three-year battle against mucosal melanoma was a testament to his strength, determination, and love of life.
His loss is mourned by his family including Angie, his sons Jake and Will, and his daughter Kate. He is also survived by his devoted parents Doug and Sylvia (née Albright), his brother Andrew and sister-in-law Dominique (née Tremblay). His extended family, including his precious godmother, Aunt Pat, will miss his incisive intellect, confidence, and passion for the outdoors. He passed his final year at the family cottage at Davis Lock on the Rideau - forever his happy place.
Bruce led a notable career in the high-tech industry, helping growing companies to develop markets for novel solutions. His colleagues and friends remember him as a charismatic leader and talented speaker who shared his encyclopaedic knowledge with everyone. His mentorship is further exemplified by his volunteer work with the Boy Scouts, through which he coached countless young men on backcountry camping trips.
